FLOURISHING
Life should not be perpetually dry and arid. There are times the going might be tough and the road rough. We might watch the orient sun sinking at the twilight clouds with sighs and tears; we might endure some dark and terrible nights, but a child of God is not meant to stay broken and defeated. It is part of your divine inheritance to be healthy in your spirit, soul, and body. Remember the word of God says that “You shall flourish like the palm tree: You shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; to show that the Lord is upright: He is your rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him” (Psalm 92: 12-15).
You might want to accept the sterile and drab condition of being broken, but God says “That is not your lot.” Your destiny is to flourish in your season, to live an optimized life of success and fulfillment. Perhaps, it is time to be intentional about growing and glowing in the promises of your King. No valid excuses to stay down. Start making those healthy choices that will position you for your next level.
In the words of Susan Young, “There will be times in your life when things simply have to be replaced because they are tired, broken, worn out, harmful, outdated, or irrelevant. Take an inventory of the things that no longer serve your best and highest good so you can replace them with things which do.” Do not be cushioned in a withering storm. At Anointed Touch, we believe in health, fitness, and beauty. It is possible to flourish in grace and beauty even if the world is hostile and harsh. You can decide not to shrivel in silence but to rise above every cloud of dryness because you are a child of God.
With Love
